Helpers

We always welcome more helpers. You don't have to be a parent to help, and you don't have to come to church every week. Anyone aged 13+ can help out, so long as you're a member of the St Nic's community (that means someone in the Church should know you.)

We love it when people can come for the whole morning each day of the club (and stay afterwards to clear up too!) but we know not everyone has that much time. Even just half an hour’s help can make a big difference. Every year, we’re grateful for having people come and serve refreshments to the kids (and the grown-ups) at about ten-thirty, in the church hall. We provide everything, all you need to do is pour the squash and brew the tea.

Leaders at craft timeOr if you’re busy in the mornings, how about coming along at lunch time and helping to clear up? Biscuits and hama beads spread a long way...

If you can come for the whole time, fantastic! You’ll be a member of one of the four teams, working alongside experienced holiday club leaders. You’ll get stuck in with all the team activities, like hearing memory verses, awarding points, and cutting out, colouring and sticking for your team board. And you’ll be working through the Bible passages and worksheets with your team in Bible time, and helping them win the games out in the Vicarage garden.

If you want, you can also volunteer to lead a memory verse, quiz, story or craft (or all four, if you’re feeling really keen!)

To sign up as a leader, just email Gill Hale (edit the address to replace [AT] with @), phone her on 01865 248260 or speak to her at Church.
